The Basilians, also known as the Congregation of St. Basil, is a religious order within the Roman Catholic Church. It consists of priests, seminarians, and lay associates who have taken simple vows. Their mission is to serve God, particularly through educational and evangelistic endeavors. The congregation was established in 1822 following the French Revolution. Over the years, the Basilian Fathers expanded their educational and pastoral work to various locations in Canada, the United States, Mexico (starting in the 1960s), and Colombia (since the 1980s).
